City Fitness Commotion

City Fitness Philly is hosting a one-night-only interactive music & movement experience at The Fillmore! Three local DJs will kick off the night with the summer jams of Philly dance-pop master Mike Taylor which will lead into the Commotion workout lead by three celebrity fitness instructors. Proceeds raised from the event will support MTWB!

Healthbridge 2018

Healthbridge 2018

Our 4th annual event in partnership with Healthbridge Chiropractic was a huge success! The event took place in the locker room at Lincoln Financial Field. Guests walked through the tunnel and onto the field and enjoyed dinner bites, and drinks by Stateside Vodka, Evil Genius and E&J Gallo wines. This year we raised the bar again by bringing in $110K to support the advancement of our mission and work.

After three years of construction and over $3M in investments, Smith Playground reopened to the community in April, 2018. The ribbon cutting was attended by hundreds of people including Philadelphia Eagles players Jason Kelce, Brent Celek and Zach Ertz.

4th Annual MTWB Benefit Concert

After three years at Union Transfer, our 4th Annual Benefit Concert was held at the Dell Music Center. The War On Drugs headlined with The Land of Talk opening. This event raised over $215,000 towards our park projects and community engagement work.

HealthBridge 2017

HealthBridge 2017

In partnership with HealthBridge Chiropractic, MTWB and Urban Roots hosted our third annual fundraising event at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. We raised over $50,000, a big jump from previous years thanks to generous support from our sponsors and guests. Funds raised support our park projects and community engagement work around the city.

Waterloo Summer Kick-Off Event

In June 2017, MTWB participated in Waterloo’s Summer Kickoff Event. The event is a new tradition in the neighborhood. MTWB received community input on preliminary designs for the playground.

2017 Red Day

2017 Red Day

Each May, Keller Williams Realty employees spend a day away from regular business to serve worthy organizations and causes in local communities. RED Day 2017 marked the second year of collaboration between Keller Williams Realty and MTWB. Volunteers helped to paint the recreation center at Smith Playground and assisted with landscaping needs at Ralph Brooks Park.

For the third year in a row our annual benefit concert was held at Union Transfer. The sold out show featured Waxahatchee and Hop Along with a special performance appearance from Philadelphia’s own Amos Lee. The concert raised over $200,000 for our park project at Waterloo playground which is currently underway with the first phase of construction.

2nd Annual MTWB Benefit Concert

2nd Annual MTWB Benefit Concert

Our second benefit concert at Union Transfer featured Parquet Courts, Mac Demarco, The Suffers and Philly’s own Marian Hill. The sold-out event raised over $300,000 for our second park project at Smith Playground in South Philadelphia. Funds went to support the revitalization project including reconstruction of the rec center, green stormwater infrastructure, upgraded play equipment and new turf playing fields.

1st Annual MTWB Benefit Concert

1st Annual MTWB Benefit Concert

MTWB’s inaugural benefit concert was held with our friends at Union Transfer. The show was headlined by Philadelphia’s own Kurt Vile along with The Tontons and The Districts. This night raised $170,000 for Ralph Brooks Park.  Completed renovations included upgraded basketball court, new play equipment, creation of a community garden and murals by Steve Powers.
