On Saturday, June 28th the most anticipated event of the summer, the Make The World Better Pickleball Tournament, returns to Sea Isle City! Now in its third year, this event has become a smash hit with participants and a significant fundraiser for MTWB.
(Check out last year’s event recap video here.)
The Make The World Better Pickleball Tournament brings MTWB supporters together for a fun day of friendly competition and overall good vibes. At last year’s event, nearly 50 teams battled it out at the fantastic pickleball courts in Sea Isle City, NJ, with the winners of each division taking home custom championship belts. In addition to raising funds for a great cause - MTWB’s mission of revitalizing public spaces in Philadelphia - the event has also become a celebration of the start of the summer season at the Jersey Shore.
With non-stop pickelball action on 7 courts, a tented food and beverage area for socializing between games, and a rockin’ afterparty that many consider the highlight of the event - we’re confident this will be the most fun you’ll have at a fundraiser all year.
In addition to the MTWB Team led by Co-Founders Connor Barwin and Jeff Tubbs, this event draws various celebrities and household names from the Philadelphia area each year. Participants in last year’s event included current and former Eagles Jake Elliott, Beau Allen, Malcolm Jenkins, Trent Cole and Jason Avant (with Jake and Beau dominating the field in the advanced division!).
